All work on VOL4 of the hosting SAN has been completed, if you find that your site is missing file changes, we do ask that you re-upload any missing data or otherwise changed files not captured during the backup runs.

Again we deeply regret and apologize for any inconvenience caused to you by this maintenance and thank you for your patience this past month or so.

Keep your eye on the blog for a future announcement regarding the services provided by iByte partners!

We are now in the final stages of maintenance on VOL4 of the SAN which involves disabling access to all sites hosted on VOL4 for a short time as the restoration procedures run on the volume. Once your account has been restored both in access and content, you may find that some changes or content were lost over the course of the backups and maintenance which you will have to re-upload to your account.

We apologize for any inconvenience this maintenance has caused you and thank you for your patience.

Recent Forum and Blog Downtime

We apologize to anyone trying to access the iByte forums or the iByte blog in the past few days, it seems we forgot to renew the domain we use for these aspects of the iByte network.

However in the downtime we had one of our members step up to help us out by hosting the forums on his space interim while we worked to fix the problem. So we’d like to thank Matthew Currie for lending us a helping hand and for offering to host the community permanently as we found that the iByte forums we had implemented previously just did not emphasize community as much as our temporary setup on his forums did.

So, now that the domain is backup and running and we now have a more fitting home for the iByte community forums, we’d like to invite everyone to join the community at Digital Gate Network!

The work on VOL2 of the SAN has been completed successfully and users on that volume should now have full access to their sites and the contents therein. We highly recommend that you go through your sites to ensure all data is present and accounted for including any changes you may have made during the maintenance period and re-upload those changes as necessary.

We will now begin working on VOL4 of the SAN which will pretty much be done the same way except with the knowledge we learned from the maintenance on VOL2. Again this will take about 10 days or so to complete and it is highly recommended that you have a current, up-to-date copy of your website on your computer should you have to upload anything after the maintenance is completed.

Thank you all for your patience in this maintenance process.
