VOL1 E-mail Error

Some of you may have received an e-mail informing you of the maintenance underway on VOL1 that listed sites which are not yours exactly.

This is due to a glitch in the e-mail script that we ran to inform all users who will be affected by this maintenance which added domains/sub-domains which were not owned by the user to the list of owned domains/sub-domains.

Basically, you can disregard any domains/sub-domains listed which are not your sites as your affected sites will be the ones at the bottom of that list.

We apologize for this error and any ensuing confusion.

Over the next hour or so, we will be changing the network topology on the free hosting network to improve speeds, transfer rates and communications between servers and the links to the Internet among other things.

During this time you may notice some connectivity issues which we will try to keep to a minimum as we upgrade the network.

We thank you all for your patience during this upgrade and will continue to work on improving our services and network.

Update: 2:29 PM 4-30-08

This work has been completed, you should now see a more responsive and faster load time on your sites and the network in general.

We will begin maintenance on VOL1 of the SAN which will take about 10 days or so to complete much like previous maintenance on the other volumes.

It is HIGHLY recommended that all users who will be affected by this maintenance keep an up-to-date and complete copy of their site content on their computer should you have to re-upload any changed files that were not caught in the backup procedures during this maintenance process.

Thank you all for your patience during this maintenance process.

You asked for it, and now you’ve got it!

We’ve now made it possible for you to create your own custom CNAME records for your domains without having to contact support which makes it possible to do full integration and verification for such services as Google Apps and more

You can find this new option in your website control panel under the DNS Management section.
