We have completed the transition of all websites hosted on VOL6 to the new hardware, all users hosted on VOL6 should now notice markedly improved speed and loading times for their websites.

If you have trouble accessing your File Manager or FTP account and you are hosted on VOL6, please contact support regarding the issue.

The next volumes to be worked on over the next two days are VOL1, VOL2, VOL3 and VOL4 so for all users whose websites are hosted on those volumes, we highly recommend taking a backup of your files and keeping it up-to-date in the event you must restore the data after your account has been processed. Once maintenance has begun on your volume you will be unable to access File Manager or FTP and you may experience performance or loading issues on your websites.

We apologize for any inconvenience this maintenance has caused you or your viewers and will continue to try to make it as quick and expedient as possible.

This is to inform all users hosted on VOL5 of the SAN that work was completed on VOL5, any user hosted on that particular volume who cannot access their files should immediately contact technical support.

Our next volume to be worked on will be VOL6 so for all users hosted on VOL6 we recommend keeping an up-to-date backup of your FTP / File Manager contents on your computer in the event your data must be restored after completion. This process will be much the same as that which ran on VOL5 and will take a few days to complete, during this time please expect outages and performance issues for all sites hosted on VOL6.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

In 1998, Google’s search index included 26 million webpages and in 2000, they hit the 1 billion mark for the number of websites known to Google in the search index.

Yesterday, Google engineers stopped and stared in awe as their index reached and flew past the 1 TRILLION mark for the number of websites and pages in its index.

Just to put that in perspective, it is estimated that there are just over 6.680 billion people on Earth which comes out to about 150 pages per person on the planet.

Interesting, isn’t it?

This is just a formal reminder that we have started working on the required maintenance for the free hosting networks and that VOL5 is the first hosting volume to be affected by this maintenance.

During this time VOL5 websites may be unavailable or performance may be sporadic at times and users will be unable to connect to their File Manager or FTP accounts, once your account has been processed you will regain access to those functions and you should notice a definitive performance boost on your website.

We apologize for the inconvenience this maintenance may cause you or your visitors.
