i.create users now have a new poll to vote in, the outcome will result in one of the two options becoming a feature of i.create free hosting of which the options are, 20GB of transfer or 800MB of webspace.

In other somewhat related news, we now have a way for you to give us suggestions and feedback on our services available to members of our major free hosting users, just check out the member link area.

Byteact free hosting has now gone ad-free while our sister service, i.create has become ad-supported to help us keep our services alive and active.

We realize that for many of you this may be a problem and we’re willing to work with you to either integrate our advertising code in a pleasing manner on your site or otherwise reach an agreement that is beneficial to us, you and your viewers. We apologize for there being no prior announcement regarding this change of policy and service but have only recently (read as today) come to the decision.

If you have any suggestions, complaints or other feedback regarding this change, please use the support ticket system to contact us regarding your concerns.

Manual updates are now a thing of the past for many scripts, RSS feeds can now be programmatically included in your site and you can install that Akismet plugin in Wordpress and much, much more!

Why? PHP Sockets and cURL functionality support have now been added to our free hosting plans! Enjoy!
